Founded in New York by Yi-Mei Truxes, Bembien was born from a simple vision — the perfect woven tote. Each bag is handwoven by master artisans in small batches, taking up to ten days to complete from start to finish. Crafted from vegetable-tanned leather that develops a beautiful patina over time, every Bembien piece is designed to be both timeless and enduring.

At the heart of the brand is a deep commitment to artisan communities — 10% of all Bembien purchases are donated back to the local communities in Bali and India where the bags are made, in partnership with the nonprofit Nest.
